The Stay Home Season- A Virtual Competition For Youth Teams
A Talk by Ben Gucciardi (Founder, Soccer Without Borders)
About this Talk
In order to reach youth who are now at home and experiencing not only the fear of the pandemic itself but the loss of structure, educational opportunities, and physical exercise, Soccer Without Borders (SWB) created the Stay Home Season. This virtual Spring soccer season creates motivation and incentives for young people to stay connected, engaged, informed, and looking toward the future. Originally conceived for SWB participants, the league is now open to all coaches who are interested in a structured, competitive way to combat youth isolation. This session will share details from the Stay Home Season facilitator’s guide, and share how coaches can register their teams to participate in the season, which starts April 28.
