Ryan Cigich has served the role of MASL Head of Officials since 2011 (MISL 2011-13). Ryan’s responsibility includes the management of MASL game officials in the primary areas of assignment, evaluation, and education. Ryan began refereeing professional indoor soccer with the NPSL in 1999 and continues today as one of the most experienced active on-field officials with over 250 games as a Referee. He was a U.S. Soccer National Referee from 1998 – 2006, his experience while holding the National badge included MLS, A-League, and USL as well as a collegiate soccer official.
Ryan is also the NCAA National Coordinator of Soccer Officiating, a US Soccer National Referee Coach, a member of PRO’s assessor staff and he chairs the USYS Referee Committee. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University-Oklahoma and holds an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He currently works for FedEx as a Worldwide Account Sales Manager.
